| Launched for the very first time in World Cup history, FIFA granted Txtstation the right to undertake an exclusive trial in which Txtstation offered a unique and interactive SMS mobile campaign to engage television viewers during the 2006 World Cup broadcasts. Txtstation, working with Sky TV Italia, implemented an SMS promotion in 30 of the World Cup broadcasts for the benefit of Sky Italia viewers. The promotion entailed a call to action followed by real time responses and results. The response was overwhelming as fans were able to voice their opinions on the the topics they feel most passionate about. |
