In what may have been one of the largest mobile projects to date, Txtstation paired with VeriSign and Live Earth to create a truly unique experience across three live venues and two broadcasts – all within an ongoing span of 18 hours. The event, held with the hope of raising awareness around sustainability and taking care of our environment, boasted such bands as Madonna, The Police, Shakira, Metallica, Kanye West and many others.
On 7/7/07, music was heard round the world. At three of the venues (Hamburg, London, and New York), fans were able to pledge their part in one of six categories – home, shopping, transportation, leadership, job, and community. Once they did so, they could see their name and home city appear live on stage via the scrolling ticker. The same scroll was also shown on the NBC and Bravo national broadcasts. All in all, the campaign was considered a huge success. |
